After many days of waiting in front of different EU Embassies to finally be able to answer brutally private and from rather objective point of view irrelevant questions – Sarajevo based artist Leila ?maj?anin in her collaborative and highly interactive performance Welcome shares with us emotions outlived and seen by herself at visa procedures.

Leila Cmajcanin (Sarajevo, 1981) has after completing Secondary School for Applied Arts continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts (Graphic department), both in Sarajevo. She is one of the founding members of artistic group Visionary Society. In 2007 she became a member of Artists Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has been working in the broad field of graphic arts, design, video art and live art. Leila has presented her works at many occasions among which are Pitchwise Festival – Sarajevo; Kontekst Gallery – Belgrade; Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, White Box Gallery – New York and elsewhere.
