We are really happy to announce the starting of HACK.Fem.EAST!

i don’t like the logo. why do you continue with connecting the colour pink and women? and why do you think that women are represented through long hair?

a comment to the door-politics-performance on friday: the idea of giving the visitors a glimpse how it feels not to be allowed to enter a room without fulfilling several conditions is not new. and it´s naive to think that this works cause you can’t compare this to a migrant’s situation. and besides you added another form of suppression: you asked people to prove that they’re artists. i hope that you didn’t want an exclusive upper-class-society in your show-rooms?

@Ole: As far as I know the author of “door-politics-performance” as you call it is from non-EU country and she also have to answer the same questions every time she wants to leave her country in order to exhibit her work abroad. Also, the performance itself wasn’t “directed” or “comissioned” by organizers.

Hacking and nerd culture have been traditionally seen as well… boy culture.  Little by little, this is thankfully starting to change.  This weekend the HACK.fem.East conference and festival takes place here in Berlin at the Bethanien in Kreuzbe…
